This year’s event hosted nearly 400 attendees: airmen, veterans, cancer patients and survivors, their families, and members of the community. All attendees were given a challenge coin commemorating the incredible courage of these men and women.
Speeches by Col. Hoffman and CM SGT. Norman highlighted the common bond between our warriors in the armed forces and those battling cancer. In a surprise announcement, Dr. Karen Finkelstein was honored by da Vinci Surgery for having performed over 1,000 robotic surgeries. In her speech, she honored her patients and how they inspire her every day.
